Kona Cleaners offers two dry cleaning options for your clothes: Kona Regular Care for your everyday casual garments and Kona Couture Care for your special couture garments.

Wet cleaning is a cleaning process utilized for treating sensitive textiles (e.g. wool, silk, rayon, & linen). Garments are cleaned in water by professionals using special technology, detergents, and additives to minimize the potential for adverse effects. It is followed by appropriate drying and restorative finishing procedures.

The Museum Quality Preservation Chests that we use for your gown are the same chests used by museums, historic house, and designers' archives. All products used, including the tissue, are acid FREE, not just PH-Neutral, which over time will turn acidic and cause your gown to yellow. Four layers are used in protecting your gown. We use a Cotton Liner in the chest, then wrap the gown and fold in Acid Free Tissue, then the outer acid Free Storage Chest. The chest is then Wrapped on the outside with a Cotton Cover. All this is done so that the dress can BREATH!

Kona Cleaners started in business back in 1950. It moved to its current location at 333 E 17th Street back in 1960. Kona Cleaners is family owned and operated by Bobby Patel, who has owned the store location since 1995. Since that purchase, Bobby has added 5 more locations in Orange County, and Pick up and Delivery routes to service your homes directly. Bobby’s background as an engineer developed his passion for technology.
